Pretty Styling and Little Vignettes

As most of you know, I am kinda obsessed with Pinterest rest and hope you are all following me http://pinterest.com/ccarterevents/ for fun inspiration for both wedding and home. If I weren't a wedding planner and didn't love my job so much, I would want to be an interior decorator. Lucky me, I get to experience that a lot with the design element in my job and it's by far my most favorite part of what I do. Looking at all of this inspiration on Pinterest, makes me want to re-do my whole house! Doesn't everybody?! I have been looking at some of these "styling" and "vignettes" on there and it's motivating me to want to set up my front entry table and coffee tables at home. However, chances are, the moment I get it looking like one of the pictures, one of 2 little ones will walk by and drag their Barbie or truck by it and slide it all to the floor. I can dream, right?

Snaps from Katherine's Fall Wedding at Serenbe Farms

They chose to keep the ceremony simple and center their vows underneath this old pecan tree. We hung some cool wicker lanterns in the branches and that was it! It was FREEZING that day and we were all hovering together to keep some warmth but you can't tell in these pics. Looks sunny and warm! Katherine's uncle was the officiant and gave such a personal, informal and sweet ceremony, which I always prefer!
Finally got these fabulous images uploaded to our blog from the talented and super sweet, Kellie Kano ofwww.kelliekanophotography.com. This is one of my bestests, Katherine Kirk, who married Hunter this past October at The Inn at Serenbe. It was one of the best weekends! Her sweet dad put all of us up in the cozy farmhouse so we had a whole weekend of being around our best friends and hanging out. Katherine was too die for and so gorgeous! I know I am partial but I thought she was stunning! Glorisosa,http://www.gloriosadesign.com/  and I worked together to help capture Katherine's desire to incorporate the grey and soft peach color scheme in the rustic pavilion for the reception. My sweet little girl, Georgia, was one of many little ones who were part of the wedding. Below are some shots for you to see the details of the wedding and the lovely bride! Congrats to Katherine & Hunter who are settling into married life in Charlotte. Can't wait to come stay in their new house and be a guest. Love you both!

I gotta say, that food was out of this world! I usually don't eat much if I am at a party because I am too busy running my mouth and drinking wine, but I definitely enjoyed their mac and cheese!

Because of the cold snap, we walled in the pavilion which became it's on tent!

Kept the main bar outside around the lake and strung some barebulb lighting with space heaters.
Lots of people hing around the huge bonfire and we had baskets of s'mores for guests to enjoy.

Here's my daughter and my other best friend's daughter running through the field chasing the loose goat that was out during the ceremony. How often does a loose goat get out during a ceremony, you wonder? Well, apparently quite often around here!

Georgia petting "Billy the Bandit". He became our pretend pet all weekend. Now, we want one to add to our family of chickens, dogs, fish, and kids!

Poor Reynolds. He spent most of his time during the ceremony in "time out" and had to face the woods, far, far away from the ceremony. He saw my coming down the aisle and lost his cool. Lesson learned next time.
My sweet family!

Our New Obsession.....

One of the many great things about our job is the designing!!! We thoroughly enjoy meeting up with our vendors and creating the perfect design plan. This past weekend the Sea Island Team blew us away!!!!! Depending on the layout of a room your working the design aspect can be VERY challenging. For this particular wedding we were missing that final touch to make the room complete. We created an amazing look for the chandeliers and Sea Island initiated the plan way above our expectations!!! We can't wait to share the pictures with you, but in the meantime take a look at a few chandeliers we love too!!!
